What is Brainwave Fitness and Why is it Important?
Brain Wave Fitness is the missing piece of a complete fitness and wellness program. For far too long we have focused on fitness and diet but not the brain. Why is the brain so important? The brain is important because the nervous system is your body's decision and communication center. The central nervous system (CNS) is made of the brain and the spinal cord and the peripheral nervous system (PNS) is made of nerves. Together they control every part of your daily life, from breathing and blinking to helping you memorize facts for a test.
How do we incorporate healthy brain function into the fitness and wellness program?
Research has shown for the brain to be a highly plastic organ, meaning it adapts to stimuli and responds to it’s environment in a manner that can improve function and performance. The brain produces 4 different types of brain waves durning it’s normal functioning, Delta, Theta, Alpha, and Beta waves. Brain Wave Fitness uses methods and technologies to induce specific brain waves which enables the brain to adapt to and overcome specific challenges.
